The Twits Inferences

This week we have been looking carefully at making inferences when we read or watch something.

An inference is when we take clues from a text or image, and
add them to our thoughts or prior knowledge and make an inference.
For example,  when I look at this photo, I might make the inference that
this photo was taken in a food factory as everyone is wearing hair nets and this is required in all food factories.

The text that we read a snippet out of was ‘The Twits’ by Roald Dahl.
Once we had read the first few chapters where they described the main characters, Mr and Mrs Twit, we then had to make some inferences based on the clues that Roald Dahl had given in the text.

I used Google Draw to create a display of my inferences I have made about Mr and Mrs Twit.

This week for math we have been learning volume and capacity like how many cups it takes to hold 250ml out of 2.5L. For my friday task I made My own House on top of an elephant and I had lots of fun making it so enjoy.

In literacy we have been reading Going Solo by Roald Dahl. It tells his story from where Boy left off.

He went to Africa to work for The Shell Company and he has many adventures there. Some of these are really funny.
He then joined the RAF to fly in WW2.

We have recreated a part of the story where his plane crashes in the desert. He manages to survive although he is blinded by the crash and badly injured. He does get his sight back eventually.

Going Solo is a great novel that I would recommend you read.

This week I have been doing math,literacy and random Friday tasks. For my random Friday tasks I have made some 90 second art pieces using Colour Push so try it and make some cool art. With my math I made my own house using roomstyler. that was really fun to make my house.and finally last but not least literacy. For literacy I had to finish a chapter in our book by guessing what will happen next.

Technology Sewing

Hey bloggers Today I made a bag from an old pillow case that my Nana  had so here it is, Enjoy.

How I made the bag was I cut up a old pillow case and then sewed up the sides then I sewed on the buttons and cut the holes the buttons went through.Have you ever made a bag before? tell me.see you next time I post,Don't forget to stay safe and at home,Bye.

hey bloggers today I made some guess the emojis and a Anzac poppy from home, enjoy.


How I made the poppy was I cut up a new world bag into a circal and took the black piece from the inside and cut that into a smaller circal,then I  grabbed a nail and hammered it to a piece of wood        ( Don't get your fingers). and then for the guess the emojis I just made some phrases of  things and turned them into emojis.Do you know the emojis? let me know, and tell me if you have made a homemade Anzac poppy before? Today I took some photos of things in my bubble.How I made the circle was I got a toilet paper roll (with no toilet paper on it) and cut a quarter of it with scissors (be careful of sharp things) and then just take photos of things. Hope you like my photos,enjoy.
